At a roaring Celtic Park the Bhoys managed to defeat RB Leipzig 3-1 tonight.
In the 23rd minute RB Leipzig Christoph Baumgartner opened the scoring for the German visitors. The Austrian midfielder headed ball into the net after a corner. However, Celtic hit back in the 35th minute via Nicolas Kühn. The German winger curled the ball into the net from the edge of the box.
In extra time of the first half Celtic grabbed the lead. Kühn netted his second of the evening for the 2-1. The 24-year-old received the ball in the opposition box and managed to tap the ball in from close range.
To the delight of the home crowd Celtic midfielder Rio Hatate found the net once more in the 72nd minute from close range, solidifying the lead.
The 3-1 victory marks Celtic’s second Champions League win this season. The Scottish giants move to the thirteenth spot on the Champions Leage table with seven points.
