Rangers FC have announced the signing of Robin Pröpper today. The Dutch defender has agreed a two year deal at the Ibrox Stadium.
The 30-year-old comes over from Dutch Eredivisie side FC Twente. At the Tukkers he was named captain and reached 95 caps over a period of three seasons.
The move to Glasgow will be the defender’s first spell abroad, having only played for Eredivisie sides Heracles Almelo and De Graafschap prior.
The signing comes at an important moment for Rangers FC. Next week the Glaswegians will play the first leg in their third round UEFA Champions League qualifier against Dinamo Kiev. It is unclear if Robin Pröpper will be fit and ready to make his debut by then.
