Fife Cup

The Fife Cup is a regional Scottish football competition. The competition is meant for clubs within the historic Scottish county of Fife.

The Fife cup was originally founded by the Fifeshire Football Association back in 1882. This makes the competition one of the oldest football competitions in the world. The competition was initially called the “Fifeshire Cup” from 1882 – 1896, after that the “Fife and District Cup” from 1896 – 1900, and the “Fifeshire League” from 1903 – 1905. After that the competition adopted the name ”Fife Cup”.

The competition consists out of four knock-out rounds, a first round, a quarter final, a semi-final and a final. The competition currently has 9 clubs participating. This includes: Kelty Hearts, Raith Rovers, Dundonald Bluebell, Cowdenbeath, East Fife, Burntisland Shipyard, St Andrews United, Dunfermline Athletic, Hill of Beath Hawthorne.

The current holders are Burntisland Shipyard who won the 2019-2020 edition of the Fife Cup. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic years the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 edition got skipped. The current competition runs from 2022-2024.
