Last night at 11 PM the summer transfer window officially closed in Scotland, bringing an end to weeks of players switching clubs.
Hours before the clock hit eleven some big signings were still arranged, including Belgian midfielder Arne Engels’ move from FC Augsburg to Celtic and Kevin van Veen’s loan arrangement from FC Groningen to St Mirren.

The transfer window has not closed in all countries. The transfer window in the Netherlands runs till 2 September, in Belgium till 6 September and till 6 October in Saudi Arabia. Players that are out of contract as a free agent can still join a club outside the summer or winter transfer windows.
