Dundee United jump to third spot after victory at Tynecastle

Dundee United has made it three wins in a row this afternoon after defeating Heart of Midlothian 0-1.

The Tangerines had less of the possession (33 percent), but managed to score the winner via defender Ross Graham. The 76th minute shot from the edge of the box proved sufficient to grab the three points at Tynecastle Park.

Earlier today Kilmarnock couldn’t get passed Hibernian, with both sides scoring once 1-1. Joe Newell managed to score for the visitors at Rugby Park just after half time, beautifully curling the ball in the top left corner from outside the box. However, Kilmarnock managed to get a late equaliser in extra time through a penalty netted by Bruce Anderson.

The first Old Form derby of the Premiership season at Celtic Park was won by champions Celtic. The Bhoys scored three times, while Rangers couldn’t score any. The game ended at 3-0. Daizen Maeda scored early on in the 17th minute. In the second half Kyogo Furuhashi doubled the scoreline before half time with a shot outside the box, while captain Callum McGregor scored his third of the season in 75th minute with a long distance belter.

Aberdeen also wins in Dingwall

Yesterday Aberdeen FC has made it four wins out of four, after winning 0-1 at Victoria Park against Ross County. Kevin Nisbet made the only goal of the game in the 55th minute.

Dundee FC and St Mirren treated spectators to four goals, with two goals from both sides the tie ended 2-2. Maine and Larkeche scored for the home side, while Olusanya and Mandron found the net for the visitors from Paisley.

In Perth it was St Johnstone against Motherwell. The visitors grabbed the lead early on in the 11th minute via Casey. But the home side equalized in the second half. To the disappointment to the St Johnstone fans they had to watch how Motherwell forward Moses Ebiye made the winner in extra time.

At the end of the fourth Premiership weekend Celtic and Aberdeen are still faultless with twelve points. Kilmarnock and Hearts share the bottom spot, with a disappointing single point. Scottish Premiership football will return in two weeks, after the international break.
